Peer Review Process

Since The Sri Lanka Journal of the Humanities adopts a double-blind peer review process in nearly all cases, potential contributors should submit papers with all author-related information on a separate cover page. Reviews and interviews are exempted from the review policy, where only one reader may review the piece. In some instances, the Editorial Committee may send an article to a third reviewer where there is a significant difference of opinion regarding the article between the first two reviewers. Where the revisions recommended by the reviewers are extensive, the Committee will send the revised article back to the reviewers to solicit their opinion on whether the revised article shows sufficient rethinking and revision based on their suggestions for revision.

SLJH attempts at all times to review manuscripts as rapidly as possible. Although authors are asked to expect a decision within 3-4 months in their acknowledgement email, all attempts are made to reach a decision within 2 months of submission.
